Full Description
Built to replace original building, location unclear, built in 1864 to train marines swimming after a number of marines died when two warships collided during the Crimea War. The building lied adjacent to the beach aligned e-w and was adjacent to the RM barracks. It was a rectangular building with a three-storey entrance block and boiler house structure at its west end, fronted by an elaborate porch.(3).
