Full Description

`This French privateer chased the FANNY, Captain Blakeley for 11 hours until the Englishmen decoyed the enemy vessel over the Goodwin Sands where it stranded and went to pieces. Thirteen men were saved in two boats. The FANNY went to the aid of the survivors and to his astonishment, found amongst them his wife, who had been captured aboard a collier vessel only four days previous.'
