Full Description
Ex: L'ATALANTE. A French frigate captured on 07.05.1794 by HM. man o'war SWIFTSURE off Cork. A courts marshall was held on board HMS. OVERYSSEL on Captain Rose and the loss of his ship on 25.11. As a result the pilot was imprisoned for six months and one day, and ordered never to work as a pilot again for being drunk in charge of one of HM. ships. The Master was suspended, and the captain and crew acquitted. Armament: 4 x 18pdr; 2 x 18pdr; 26 x 12pdr; 6 x 6pdr.
