Full Description
A Second World War Type 24 pillbox exists on the north bank of the River Medway east of Barming Bridge. The pillbox was placed a few metres from a second pillbox and was located to defend the bridge from a crossing from the south. It formed part of the GHQ Line that was the main defence line in southern england in the early years of the war. Visible in 2018.
