`...ashore on the Cory Sand, Goodwins on Friday night. Unable to get off, as morning broke her crew abandoned ship and at the time of leaving the bow of the vessel was underwater. The crew were picked up by the fishing smack LAUREL, which brought them to Ramsgate harbour at 8am after which they went on to the Sailors Home.'
