Full Description

`...In answer to signals from the GULL lightvessel, the lifeboat BRADFORD, in tow of the tug AID, went out and were told that a large vessel had been seen ashore on the Goodwins bearing SSE from the lightship. The lifeboat slipped her tow, went into Trinity Bay, leaving the tug to go round the South Sand Head, where they found large quantities of floating wreckage. This was apparently the remains of a Norwegian vessel, but nothing was found that could identify her. The Lifeboat Insititution have awarded 10 shillings to each of the lifeboat crew and that of the tug, for services rendered.'
