Full Description
`...Was lost last Thursday am on the Goodwin Sands. The crew were all saved by their own boat, landing at Deal at 11am. The crew said they saw nothing after Beachy Head and were all below when at 3.20am found their vessel on the Goodwin Sands and rapidly sinking. We had no guns on board, but luckily the steam tug CRUISER was near by and rendered assistance but the FLYING CLOUD foundered ten minutes later. After landing at Deal, the crew were found in Mr. Job's eating house and sent to London that afternoon.'
