Monument record TQ 95 SW 148 - Possible late iron age posthole, Chapel Farm, Lenham

Summary

In 2007 the Lenham Archaeological Society excavated a number of trenches to investigate a large enclosure visible on aerial photography. C. 70 m west of the presumed entrance ot the enclosure a trench was excavated that found iron age pottery, iron slag and a possible posthole surrounded by sandstone blocks, possibly packing material.
