In 2007 the Lenham Archaeological society excavated a number of trenches to investigate a large enclosure visible on aerial photography. C. 70 m west of the presumed entrance to the enclosure a trench was excavated that found iron age pottery, iron slag and a possible posthole surrounded by sandstone blocks, possibly packing material (1).

The excavation has not been fully published and the location is estimated based on aerial photography. The Source mentions neaby mesolithic flints but provides no further information.
