Summary

After Trust for Thanet Archaeology undertook an archaeological evaluation in advance of new housing developments, two medieval features were identified. These were a field boundary ditch and a gully. Some fragments of medieval pottery were recovered from the fill of these features.

Full Description

After Trust for Thanet Archaeology undertook an archaeological evaluation in advance of new hoousing developments, two medieval features were identified. These were a field boundary ditch and a gully. The field boundary contained sherds of Medieval Canterbury sandy ware. The gulley finds from this deposit included one patinated, possibly plough or frost fractured flint and one small, fresh cooking pot rim sherd of Canterbury sandy ware (1).
