`...Signal guns and rockets from the GULL lightvessel at 7.35pm on Thursday alerted the lifeboat at Ramsgate, whilst a watchman on the pier head saw a flare at the north end of the Goodwins. The lifeboat was launched under coxswain Fish and in tow of the VULCAN tug went out. They found the fishing vessel with her crew still aboard, heavy seas breaking all around and over the wreck, causing her to make water fast. Shortly after the crew were saved the wreck floated off but sank in deep water.'
