Monument record TR 34 SW 1942 - Possible site of Command post or temporary magazine at The North Lines Battery, Drop Redoubt, Western Heights, Dover.

Summary

At the eastern end of the North Lines Battery, at the Drop redoubt, Dover, there is a large rectangualr platform which possibly represents either WWI or WWII activity at the site. This platform incorporates a trench access with a rectangular hollow off one side - possibly the site of a command post or temporary magazine- and it is possible that the whole represents the site of the documented First World War anti-aircraft gun battery.
