Summary

Jezreel's Tower, Chatham Hill. The tower was built in 1880 by the Jezreelites ('New and Latter House of Israel') followers. The building was demolished in 1961. This was a square building of brick and concrete, of loosely Elizabethan character, begun in 1885 by the followers of the preacher JJ Jezreel, but it was never completed. Jezreel built it to become a headquarters of a new Christian sect he had founded, but after his wife's death in 1888 work on the building stopped.

Full Description

This was a square building of brick and concrete, of loosely Elizabethan character, begun in 1885 by the followers of the preacher JJ Jezreel, but it was never completed.
