Summary
A number of Medieval pits associated with St Augustine's Abbey in Canterbury were located during installation of drainage tanks and pipework in 2011. A small quantity of medieval pottery, peg tile, animal bone and oyster shell were contained in the fills, and residual Roman tile, opus signinum flooring and wall plaster.
