Full Description

Sank following collision with the SS CRIMEA, bound for Newport, in dense fog. The LARISTON was struck amidships, and sank very fast, her crew taking to the boats. The CRIMEA picked up five men, 18 others being saved by the THURSTON, of Hartlepool, and landed at Dover.
