Full Description
Middle Palaeolithic handaxe (bout coupe) from foreshore at Allhallows, surface find in 2015 (1). handaxe is in fairly fresh condition, with a well-developed mottled patination on both sides. It is uncertain whether it originates from deposits where it was found, or whether it had been transported to its discovery location by marine action. The find location of TQ 82060 78535 has been confirmed by the finder D Goldsmith.
