Summary
Excavations undertaken by Canterbury Archaeological Trust in the St. James area of Dover revealed a number of post medieval features cutting into the underlying Medieval archaeology. These included several boundary walls, a large circular bread oven (of a possible 17th century date), a stone lines well and a cess tank. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)

Full Description
Excavations undertaken by Canterbury Archaeological Trust in the St. James area of Dover (trench CAT WSD SE) revealed a number of post medieval features cutting into the underlying Medieval archaeology. These included several boundary walls, a large circular bread oven (of a possible 17th century date), a stone lines well and a cess tank. The well and tank produced an interesting assemblage of early post-medieval animal bone and bird bone. (1)
