Full Description
Four truncated cremation burials found during a rescue excavation in advance of the construction of an industrial size farm building at Malmains Farm, Alkham in 1989. Three of the burials (Burials 2-4) were found in a roughly straight line spaced about 4-5m apart. The fourth (Burial 1) lay about 12m to the north and appears to have been located inside a small ditched enclosure. Possible post holes and a small ditch were located adjacent to the burials - these are undated and may not relate to the burials (Philp 2014, 11). <1>
