During an archaeological excavation undertaken by Canterbury Archaeological Trust in the St James area of Dover the former road surface of Arthurs Place was uncovered. Arthurs place is one of the 5 (now lost) streets which ran across the development area before the post war redevelopment of the town. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
