Summary
During an archaeological excavation undertaken on land immediately to the west of Russell Street, Dover, as part of the St. James area redevelopment, a sub-square pit, perhaps to be interpreted as a garderobe shaft, was uncovered cutting through the latest floor layers of a medieval building on the western side of Russell Street, was uncovered. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)
