Full Description

Sank following collision with the Belgian Red Star Liner SS VADERLAND in wind conditions E force 1, accompanied by fog. The fishing smack HILDA picked up the captain's chest of drawers containing the ship's papers at the back of the Goodwins, the VADERLAND arriving at Antwerp with the 17 survivors on board, her bow section full of water. The missing three members of the crew were 2nd Engineer Low; Steward N Parkinson, and seaman Nicholson.
