Full Description
The Methodist Church in Charing is shown on the 1862-75, 1897-1900, 1907-23, 1929-52 and current O/S maps. It is still in use.
The chapel is a single storey, brick built chapel constructed in 1835 for the Wesleyan Methodist dominion. The chapel provides some insight into the non-conformist beliefs held by some locals at the time. Its modest architectural design is distinct from other buildings in the area. (1)
