Summary
In the course of two days in the summer of 1976, 14 cubic metres of earth were excavated in 2 grids and returned, filled, rammed and returfed to cut through and investigate the old gulley in Central Park as part of the Dartford District Show. Evidence for Roman, Medieval and post-Medieval settlement was uncovered.
