Full Description

Sank after suffering a cargo shift, during a severe SW gale. Only Walter Smith, engineer; Frank Jenkins, mate; and William Stanley, AB were saved, after being picked up from their own boat in the channel by a warship. So violent was the storm that 20 foot long planks, stacked on the jetty at Dover's Admiralty Pier, were blown over 50 feet away.
