Summary

BRITISH MERCHANT BRIG, 1829 wreck of English brig which stranded on Walmer Beach during a "tempestuous night" en route from the Cape of Good Hope to London. Laden with wine, coffee, spices, and animal horn, she was a wooden sailing vessel.
