'At about midnight on Saturday, drove on the North Sand Head in thick weather owing to the fog, having failed to see the signals. Her captain awaited the tide and got off at high water but leaking badly, foundered shortly afterwards in the Gull Stream. The crew of nine took to their boat at about 7.30am. on the Sunday and after several hours adrift were picked up by the galley, BLUE JACKET, landed at Ramsgate and taken into the care of the Sailors Home.'
