Vessel lost in wind conditions SSW. force 10, at the same time as the Swedish barque HEDVIG SOPHIA, a silver medal being awarded to coxswain Robert Wilds, of the N. Deal lifeboat VAN KOOK, for saving 17 men from the two ships. It was said at the time that 'a man could have crept into the rent in the lifeboat's bow on her return.' Year Built: 1856 Owner: M.
