Full Description

'Drove ashore about one mile south of Walmer Castle, one of five vessels to go ashore in roughly the same area. Six of the crew and a Deal boatman were saved by the rocket apparatus, another man reaching the shore by his own efforts. The remains of the vessel was sold by auction as firewood to a Mr. Pott, on 04-DEC-1877.'
