Full Description

After becoming disabled by heavy weather and involvement in a collision with the SS. GODMANDUN off Dover, capsized and sank, drowning eight of her nine crew. A few days later Trinity House raised the wreck, the tender WARDEN towing it, still up side down to Pegwell Bay. There it was blown up using gunn cotton, in a spectacular explosion, throwing wreckage several hundred feet into the air. Her remains were broken up where she lay.
