The San Augusta was a Merchant Brig Master: Albens Crew Lost: 0 Date of Loss Qualifier: R Additional sources cited in United Kingdom Shipwreck Index. Lloyds List No.2828, 18.02.1763 (1)

Lloyd's list notes that ' 'The San Augusta (sailed by) Albanes, a Spanish Brig (sailing from) Bilboa for Rouan with wool, drove ashore to the eastward of Dover Pier on the 18th of February 1763 and bulged but he people and cargo are saved - soon after a Dutch Hoy run ashore at the same place'
