Full Description

Master: Hammond Date of Loss Qualifier: R Additional sources cited in United Kingdom Shipwreck Index. Lloyds List No.2911, 06.12.1763(R) (1).

'The LETITIA, Hammond, from Virginia for London, is ashore on the Pollard, a bank off Whitstable, and must be unloaded.' (2)

Source (3) gives the name of the vessel as LETISIA, since there is a damaged `t' in source (2) which could be interpreted thus; it can, however, be made out to be a `t', and thus provide the more usual spelling LETITIA.

Master: Hammond (1)(2)(3)
