'Rye, Nov. 13 . . . The dreadful weather which we have had for some time past, has occasioned a number of shipwrecks along the coast; Sunday and Monday vessels were in imminent danger, unless they kept out at sea . . . Another vessel ran ashore off Romney, and instantly went to pieces.' (3)
