`Accounts of losses and accidents etc. during violent gales of wind at about SW on Thur[s]day and Saturday nights...The CAMPERDOWN, Hill, from London to St Michael's, was driven on shore on Saturday night between Broadstairs and Kingsgate, but it was expected would be got off.' (2)

`[Deal], 15th. We again experienced last night and this morning, another tremendous gale of wind from the southward and westward.' (2)

`The CAMPERDOWN, Hill, from London to St. Michael's, which was driven on shore 15th instant, near Broadstairs, has gone to pieces. Stores saved.' (3)
