Lloyd's list (No. 5135 17th of December 1816) notes: 'Accounts of accidents and losses during violent gales of wind […] The Lord Somers (sailed by) Dickenson from Montreal to London was wrecked near Dover, the crew and a small part of the materials were saved'. (2)
