Full Description

Hadlow: A very fine example of a `Thames' pick: Maidstone Museum. (1) A large specimen of Campignian Pick from Golden Green Hadlow dredged up from R. Medway. Placed on loan in Maidstone Museum by F.W. Shrivell, 1927. (2) In Maidstone Museum is a Thames pick 9" long and 2 1/2" wide. It is annotated "Dredged from Medway near Golden Green. F.W. Shrivell". (3) Mr. Shrivell has now left the district and no further information was obtained. (4) TQ 640480. Two Mesolithic tranchet axes from Golden Green, Hadlow.
