Monument record TQ 76 NE 1344 - The Ravelin, Chatham Lines
Summary
A ravelin was built into the Chatham Lines during the second main phase of fortifications (after 1779). It was located between Prince Frederick's Bastion and the Duke of Cumberland's Bastion to provide additional strength to the north-eastern defences of the dockyard. The ravelin now contains MOD buildings, part of the Collingwood complex
