Building record TQ 76 NW 907 - Roman Wall and Ovens, Rochester
Summary
The remains of a Roman Wall excvated in 1976. The wall was 2ft thick and remained to a height of 1ft 3in and built of coursed flints. The archaeologists were able to follow the wall for a total of 55ft. The wall does not form part of the main Roman fortificaiton works but part of a smaller building. This building was also found to have contained six oven/kiln structures.
