Full Description
The Hoo Union Workhouse was built in 1836 following the 1834 Poor Law Act. In the 1930's it was used as Council Offices before being demolished in the 1960's. It is shown on the 1862-75, 1897-1900, 1907-23 and 1929-52 maps.
