Full Description

TQ 66854418 Moat shown. (1) Site now occupied by a hop garden: nothing to be seen. (2)

In 2012 Canterbury Archaeological Trust carried out a topographic survey and an evaluation of the site. Possible traces of the enclosure were located but it appears less substantial than might be expected for a moated site. As such, it could be an 18th or 19th century animal enclosure. (4)
