In January 2011 an archaeological evaluation was carried out by Archaeology Services & Consultancy Ltd on the land at the Bull's Head Pub in Adisham, Kent. The evaluation revealed that much f the site had been truncated but did have some finds of a medieval well, 17-18th century finds and a possible 19th century mortar foundation.

Trench one contained moderate amounts of 17th/18th century tile, pottery and clay pipe stems. Trench two contained a well located close to the centre of that trench. The well itself was c.2.5m deep and was lined by 17 courses of red bricks bonded with lime mortar. Finally in the sixth trench 19th century material and bitument with a rough square patch of mortar was found. Trenches three, four and five did not contain any pre-modern archaeological features.

Due to the terracing and renovations of the site in the last 50 years much of the natural subsoils across the site was removed and thus results in a lack of significant archaeological remains surviving. (1)
