Summary

Meade Mill (Smock Mil) was constructed before 1819 and demolished (struck by lightning) in 1954. Summary from record TQ 86 SE 101: A smock mill built in the late 18th-early 19th century. The mill was built of brick and weatherboarding and had a steam engine installed in 1889 as auxilliary power. The mill was abandoned in working order in 1814, and has since gradually become more derelict.
