Full Description

Shared commercial ground floor with 1 King Street. 1st - 3rd floors two symmetrical bays, aligning across all floors. Similar style to 1 kings street though lacks the elaborate plaster detailing (i.e no moulded pilasters or pediments) though there are some: two simple pilasters on the outer edges of the building, a simple cornice at the roof level, simple projecting moulding over 1st and 2nd floor windows with moulded brackets/corbels and string courses at the bottom of the window level (also forming the sills). There is some slight chips to the plasterwork but otherwise in good condition. Modern security system adds clutter to the to the frontage. King Street sign located between ground and first floor. To the rear there are a number of modern utilitarian features which detract from the overall appearance (large metal air conditioning system) and modern plastic guttering. Modern commercial Ground floor centrally placed entrance. All windows are modern pvc replacements, two per floor and align with each other giving a symmetrical appearance to the eastern façade. The windows are slightly offset from those of 1 kings street, at a slightly lower level. 9 rear windows, possibly in original locations 3 per floor, all with segmental arch in painted brick above. At the ground floor there is an infilled arched opening with a modern centrally inserted door. There is modern (likely plastic) weatherboarding below all of the windows. (1)
