Full Description

Mid C20th building, on a much smaller scale to its north eastern neighbour but is the same as its south western. The ground floor has a modern commercial use and is largely glazed with two rectangular windows on either side of a door. There are panelled stall risers below the windows, these occupy the bottom 1/3rd of the façade. The central door has a large glazed panel, the base of which aligns with the stall risers below. There are fluted timber pilasters over each of the party walls. A large modern fascia containing the modern commercial signage stretches across the width of the façade, with a large modern light attached to it. The first floor is pebble dashed and painted white, though this is badly discoloured. There is a single central window, the glass has been blocked with paint but the frame (which is possibly metal) reveals that it is divided into nine rectangular panes, all of which are fixed. The base of the window rests directly upon the fascia over the ground floor and the eaves for the roof are directly above the top of the window. There are numerous modern features attached to the façade including, lights, signs and a security system, the wiring for which is untidy. The gutter, located at the base of the roof is very badly rusted, and there is a fair amount of vegetation growth within it. The down pipe which is located over the south western party wall is a later plastic replacement. Though the building appears to be structurally sound (no obvious cracks) it is very untidy, particularly at the first floor level, and in need of some attention.

The ground floor has a modern commercial use, though the openings may be original to the build
c. mid C20th (this is not certain). The central doorway is in timber with a large glazed upper panel, the base of which aligns with the tops of the stall risers on either side of the door. There are two rectangular windows on either side of the door, both are fixed in place and have painted (white) timber frames. The paintwork on both the window frames and the door is dirty, despite this all are in a fairly good condition. There is a single second floor window, located slightly off centre. The glass has been blocked with white paint though the frame, which is metal and badly rusted reveals that it is divided into 9 rectangular panes. Some of the panes also appear to be cracked. This first floor window is in a poor condition and is in need of some attention.

The base of the roof structure rests directly over the first floor window. It is a steeply pitched gable with the gable ends over both of the party walls. It is the same roof structure as No. 14 on its south western side. It is tiled and some of these tiles appear to have slipped, there is also a fair amount of lichen growth, particularly on the upper parts of the roof. There is no bowing and the roof appears to be structurally sound. (1)
