Full Description

Late C19th building, same build as the pub on its north western side and is in the same brown brick, though is on a much smaller scale. There are three openings at the ground floor level. The door is located on the south eastern side of the façade and there is a window located close to it on its northern side. There is a further, slightly wider window located at the north western end of the façade, near the party wall. There are flat gauged brick arches over all of these and there is a small step up to the door. The brickwork located beneath the windows down to the pavement level is slightly advanced from the rest of the façade and the top forms a continuous sill for the ground floor windows. There is a section of infilled brickwork located beneath the northern window suggesting that there was originally an opening here which has been blocked, possibly indicating the presence of a basement below the ground floor. There are three openings on the first floor also, aligning with the windows and door on the ground floor, all of which again have flat gauged arches over. There are two string courses at this level, one is located at the base of the windows and forms a continuous sill, this continues over the ground floor windows of the building on the north western side. The second is directly over the arched over the first floor windows. There is a brick parapet with stone coping located over the first floor, there is a small amount of vegetation growth attached to this. A gutter down pipe runs from the top of this parapet down to the pavement level over the south eastern party wall. There is some slight staining to the brickwork surrounding this down pipe suggesting there have been leaks. There are a couple of modern vents and some wiring attached to the façade. The building appears to be structurally sound and apart from a few minor problems (vegetation growth at the parapet level) is in a good condition.

All of the windows, at both the ground and first floor level are two pane, timber framed sashes painted cream, all are in a good condition. The glass within the window closest to the door at the ground floor level is opaque. There are metal bars painted black over the two ground floor widows. The door is modern, and timber painted an off-white. It has six panels, four small square ones in the upper half and two larger rectangular ones in the lower half and there is a small semi-circular opening located at its top with four small triangular panes divided by timber glazing bars.
