Site of a smock mill originally constructed in Sidley near Bexhill in 1723. It was moved to Stocks Green north of Leigh and restored in 1928. The mill had burnt down in 1797 and rebuilt again in 1798. The mill was still working throughout the 1930's. When recorded in 1968 the mill had ncollapsed and only the roundel remained.The remain have been demolished since. (1-3)

Historic England archive material: AA81/01539 A view looking towards Stocks Green Mill When photographed in 1940 this mill had only recently ceased working. The sign on the side of the building shows that it belonged to A W Tomlinson, Miller and Corn Merchant.
