Full Description

Small premises located on the north eastern side of High Street. The ground floor has been heavily inserted for a modern commercial use with the commercial fascia running across the whole of the ground floor, with a modern light over to illuminate the commercial signage. There are two doors located next to each other on the south eastern side of the façade, one presumably gives access to the upper floor while the other to the commercial ground floor. The north western side of the façade is taken up by a large floor to ceiling window. The first floor is rendered and painted (white) a single window located centrally. The base of this window rests directly above the commercial fascia over the ground floor. There is a modern plastic gutter at the eaves level, a small amount of vegetation growth is located within it. This gutter adjoins with the a down pipe shared with No 8 next door on the south eastern side. A few modern features are attached to the façade including a satellite dish located near the base of the first floor window, on its south eastern side. Overall the building is in a good condition.

All the openings for the commercial ground floor are modern with metallic surrounds. The first-floor window is also modern and in plastic. There is a small flat roofed dormer at the roof level, aligning with the window at the first floor level, this is also plastic. All windows and doors are in a good condition.

The roof is steeply pitched and gabled, with the gable ends over the north western and south eastern party walls. The roof is in slate with concrete tiles over the ridge, some of the slates are damaged and there is a small amount of moss growth. There is some bowing evident in the roof structure, suggesting that there may be some problems with the structural integrity of it, though this is not certain. (1)
