Full Description

Forms part of a terrace of C19th buildings located on the south western side of London Road on a raised pavement which is separated from the busy London Road below by a possibly original iron railing. This building would have likely originally have been a small two storey extension to the large building on its north western side (305). It is in an exposed brown brick with a rendered and painted (cream) basement level. There is a single opening at the ground and first floor levels, both are set within a slight recess within the brickwork, there is a large segmental arch over this recess at the top of the first floor level. The ground floor window has a flat gauged arch above while the first floor window is situated directly below the arch in the brickwork and has a rendered band below the sill. A parapet with stone coping is located at the top of this building, this parapet continues around onto the southern (side) elevation also. Two gutter down pipes run through small gaps within the brickwork at the parapet level at either end of this side elevation. The main ground floor access is on this side, located roughly centrally within it and raised from the pavement level. A window is located on the western side of this door. Both the door and this window have flat gauged brick arches above. there are several areas where the brickwork across the façade has been repaired/replaced, particularly at the parapet level, meaning that it does not match. Overall the building is well kept, appears to be structurally sound and in a good condition.

The ground floor door, which is located roughly centrally within the southern (side) elevation, is modern and in timber painted black with four rectangular panels and a semi circular window at its top divided into three triangular panes. All of the windows are (possibly original) timber framed sashes divided in to multiple panes by glazing bars. All of the timber frames are painted white and overall all windows are in a good condition with all panes present and intact.

The roof level was not clearly visible as it is located behind a parapet. (1)
