Summary
Probable site of Synagogue, Blue Town. The building was between Sheppey Street and Kent Street.established in 1790. A new synagogue was built in 1811 and restored in 1841, the closed about 1900, the building became dilapidated (but not demolished until 1935).There was a Jewish community in Sheerness from the late eighteenth century, which had declined by the latter part of the nineteenth century.
