Full Description
Early C20th semi- detached building which forms part of a short terrace located on the eastern side of Eastbrook Place. The building is rendered and painted white with a pebble dashed first floor. The door is located on the northern end of the façade and there is a small rectangular window above the transom over this door and two further rectangular windows (vertical) abutting each of the jambs. There are two closely spaced windows at the ground floor level. Both are round headed and have a central keystone. A moulded and painted (black) string course is located at the top of the ground floor, the tops of the keystones over the ground floor windows rest directly beneath this string course. There are three equally spaced first floor windows, the northern aligns with the door. Each has a slight segmental arch above. There is a rendered band at the top of the first floor with a moulded cornice and a rendered parapet above, all of which are painted black. The rendered band drops slightly in the areas between the windows creating an arch above them. The northern (side) elevation is also rendered and painted white. There are structural pins at the top of both the ground floor and first floor levels. Overall this building is well kept, appears to be structurally sound and is in a good condition.
The door is located on the northern side of the façade, it is possibly original and in timber painted black with an oval window in its upper half. There is a small rectangular window above the transom over the door and two narrow rectangular windows on either side of the door immediately abutting the door jambs. All of these windows are in an opaque glass and have fixed timber frames. The two ground floor windows are round headed and consist of two pane timber framed sashes. The first floor windows are also two pane timber framed sashes though these are flat headed. All of the timber frames are painted white and are in a good condition.
The roof level is located behind a parapet and was not clearly visible from the street level. (1)
