Full Description

Forms part of a small terrace on the north eastern side of London Road, there is a gap on the terrace on the north western side of this building which would have likely originally have been occupied. It is in brick with a heavily inserted ground floor for a modern commercial use (though it is currently un-occupied). There are some original features surviving over the south eastern party wall including a decorative stone console at the top of the ground floor and stone quoins. The rest of the ground floor is rendered and glazed. There are two doors, on is located on the on the north western side of the façade, this likely provides access to the upper floors. The other is located in the south western half of the façade and gives access to the commercial ground floor. Both have square window located above the transom over the door and large windows on their southern sides of this door. All openings apart from the northernmost door have metal bars over for security purposes. A large modern commercial fascia stretched across the top of the ground floor over all windows doors. the first floor is in an exposed red brick and there are two windows both with segmental brick arches over. A modern plastic gutter is located at the eaves level with the down pipe running down to the pavement level over the south eastern party wall. the northern (side) elevation is rendered and there are no (visible) openings. Overall the building appears to be structurally sound and in a good condition.

There are two doors at the ground floor level, both are modern. The north western is in timber painted red with a single large rectangular panel. The southern is also modern and in timber painted red with a single large glazed panel, the base of which aligns with the base of the window on its southern side. Both have square windows located above the transoms. There is a window on the southern sides of both doors, the first is divided into three panes, the horizontal divide aligns with the top of the door and the glazing above it is divided horizontally into two panes. The window on the southern end of the façade is divided into two panes, again this horizontal divide aligns with the top of the doors. All the window and door frames and divides are in timber painted red. There are two first floor windows, these are both modern plastic insertions. All windows and doors are in a good condition (though dirty).

The roof is hipped with concrete tiles. There is a fair amount of lichen growth attached to this roof but otherwise it is in a good condition with no obvious bowing or slipped tiles. (1)
