Full Description

Forms part of a small terrace on the north eastern side of London Road. It is in a similar style to its south eastern neighbour though it is slightly narrower. The ground floor is level with the street and has been heavily inserted though retains some of possibly original C19th details including; the fluted pilaster and consoles over the party walls (shared with the north western and south eastern neighbour) with decorative finials above. There are three doors located in the north western half of the façade. The northern most immediately abuts the north western party wall and there two further doors located next to the first, on its south eastern side. There are two windows located above the transoms over these three doors, the one above the north eastern door is the same width as the door while the second is double the width and stretches across the two other doors. The rest of the space on the ground floor is occupied with a rectangular window, the area beneath this window is rendered and painted grey. A large (currently blank) commercial fascia and original stretch across these windows and doors. The first and second floors are set back from the street level and the ground floor. They are in an exposed brick with a rendered dropped cornice and parapet at the top of the second floor. There is a large three light canted bay window with a rendered surround and mullions located centrally within the façade at the first floor level. The base of this rests in the projecting lower floor and it has a hipped slated roof. There are two windows at the second floors level, both have decorative rusticated plaster surrounds and a protruding continuous sill, originally this would have been supported by small decorative plaster brackets but only one of these now remains. This rusticated plasterwork is mirrored on the area over the north western party wall. An original metal gutter down pipe runs through a small gap in the brickwork at the top of the second floor level, over the south eastern party wall. Overall building is in a good condition and appears to be structurally sound.

The three doors at the ground floor level are modern and in timber, two are painted grey while the third is in a treated timber. The window on the southern side of these doors consists of a single fixed pane in a timber surround with a metal grill over for security purposes. The door and window surrounds are in timber painted grey. The bay window at the first floor level is divided into three, likely original timber sashes, the central is wider than the outer and is divided into four panes by timber glazing bars, while the outer consists of two large panes. The two first floor windows are also possibly original two pane timber sashes. All of the frames are painted green, there is some chips to the paintwork . despite some chips to the paintwork, all windows and doors are in a good condition with all panes present and in tact.

the roof level was not clearly seen as it is located behind a parapet. (1)
